A Right Royal Affair: Celebrating the King's Jubilee at Brearley Hall

Brearley Hall, with its majestic grounds and stunning interiors, provided the perfect setting for a truly remarkable celebration in honour of the King's Jubilee. The staff and students were buzzing with excitement as they turned up and eager to partake in the festivities that lay ahead. And what a celebration it turned out to be! From bunting, balloons, and flags to a delectable royal buffet, each element of the party was carefully crafted with attention to detail, making it a day to remember. This blog post is a journey through the celebrations we had at Brearley Hall, highlighting all the fun and frolics that took place.

With everyone geared up for the day, there was a sense of anticipation in the air as students and staff all rallied around to get the decorations in place. The grounds were awash with red, white, and blue, as bunting, balloons, and flags adorned the buildings and trees.

As the celebrations kicked off, we made our way to the Willow Circle Room, where our talented chef Joel had created a delicious buffet fit for a King!

The classrooms were transformed into crafting stations where students could paint their nails, make crowns and tiaras, and decorate their faces with shimmering makeup. The atmosphere was electric, with laughter and chatter ringing out. As we stepped outside, we found the sports ground buzzing with activity. TA Wayne had set up various sports games, including tug of war, to keep the children entertained. It was heart-warming to see the older children taking on leadership roles, guiding and supporting the younger ones.

The quiche competition was one of the highlights of the day, with some homes entering. Three entries re-created the king's coronation quiche, with each one done to perfection. Joel judged the entries, and home Woodleigh emerged victorious. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the students' cooking skills, and everyone had a great time.

As the day progressed, we ended up back in the main classroom, where the quiz began. Everyone enjoyed the friendly competition, with cheers of excitement ringing out when people guessed the right answers. The event ended on a high note, with everyone feeling fulfilled and happy after such a fantastic celebration.

The King's Jubilee celebrations at Brearley Hall was a great success, where students, staff, and carers came together to create a joyful event that was full of laughter, camaraderie, and community spirit. The day was memorable, with the perfect location, decorations, fun activities, thrilling competitions, and friendly quizzes, all contributing to an excellent experience.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who made this happen and for all their hard work and dedication.

Long live the King!
